Special Exhibition of Traditional Indigo Dyeing Workshop “Inheriting the Indigo -Encountering Fabrics in a Folk House-“
Dyeing fabrics with indigo and continuing to use them —
this practice has been handed down through the generations as a part of everyday life.
This exhibition will be held as a special exhibition of Traditional Indigo Dyeing Workshop. The world of indigo dyeing, normally presented at the Traditional Indigo Dyeing Workshop, will this time be introduced in the exhibition room of our museum.
We will showcase the process and beauty of indigo dyeing, and through actual dyed fabrics, we hope to convey the charm of indigo, which is created by human hands and the passage of time.
