Robata-no-Kai

The heat and smoke from the fires in the sunken hearth not only protects the house from damp and decay, but also introduces a breath of life into the houses.

* The volunteer group is on summer vacation during the period below.

  • The services listed below will be suspended. Thank you for your understanding.

    • Room on raised floor open to the public. * may be carried out voluntarily
    • Guided tour on fixed hour, suspended during July 1 (Tuesday) ~ August 31 (Sunday) .
    • Guided tour for groups, suspended during July 1 (Tuesday) ~ August 31 (Sunday).


    Activities

    Fire in the Sunken Hearth

    We light a fire in the sunken hearth. Visitors are welcome to sit and relax by the fireside.

    Guided Tour

    A group of more than 5 people can make a reservation for guided tour. English-speaking guide is available.
